Dark Celestials is an examination of shadow and light that encourages active contemplation about their
capabilities by presenting an impossible white sphere whose deep shadows are subtly filled with color.

Envisioned during the creation of the Celestial Bodies series while exploring different ways to create an impossible lighting effect, Dark Celestials utilizes that same iconography to instigate a direct confrontation of our assumptions on the workings of shadows and light.
